Heat Treat

Due to the high degree of automation and mechanization of the system, labor costs are kept to a minimum.

In order to increase service to our customers that require annealed castings Farrar Corporation recently installed a highly mechanized system to perform that operation in our Manhattan facility. The shipping container sized batches allow for closer control and tracking of castings for certification. The system includes shot blasting of the castings after heat treat to remove any surface scale. It also assures our customers closer control and faster turnaround of orders. The system is designed to allow for the future expansion that will allow a '100% increase in capacity when needed.
